(A review of PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives)Who would disagree if I said that reading another people's secrets is nice? I just love it. I can say that some secrets tell things about me, others are disgusting, others kind of made me sad.. A few made me laugh. In fact, I can't say too much about it - I really love post secrets, that's why I'm always anxious waiting for sunday to come - so I can read new secrets! I recommend this, and can't wait to read the other books..

You make me happy, when skies are grey..

(A review of Fevers and Mirrors)This is a wonderful example of what I like about Bright Eyes. Explosive feelings, heavy lyrics, good sound, screams...
I can feel all of Conor's feeling when I listen to this cd, and this one may be my favourite one from Bright Eyes. It's a good cd for those that think they're alone when it comes to love/life problems - you feel relieved as you listen to each word Conor is singing. Most people may say that it's too dramatic, but if you like Bright Eyes, you must be used to that. I can't make a list of favourites now, but if I had to choose two, I would choose Haligh and The Calendar Hung Itself.

Trees Get Wheeled Away

(A review of Noise Floor: Rarities 1998-2005)As everyone knows, it's a collection of b-sides and 'rarities', and I may be the only person in this world that likes it. But I really like to listen to the whole cd without stopping, or choosing one, or two of them. Conor sings usually in such a way that you can almost feel what he was feeling when wrote the song - and I love it. Specially when he screams, or sing as if he were about to cry - because he really meant every word of the song. That doesn't happen in an expressive way in this cd, he's more calm, 'slow' I would say. But it's worth listening, and my favourite ones are Bad Blood, Happy Birthday to Me, Trees Get Wheeled Away (with a phrase that is my favourite from this CD - "so believe you're who you are, and stay in character. but at the end of the play the audience walks away and you'll be a shivering cold on a well lit stage"), Mirrors and Fevers and Devil Town.
